- What a formal mathematical system is and how it
is developed.
- Geometric definitions, axioms/postulates, and
theorems.
- Inductive and deductive reasoning (proofs).
- How geometry is used in the world around us.

- Effective note taking
- Time management strategies
- Effective use and reading of a math text book
- Becoming "metacognitive"
- Tracking self-efficacy as an effective

Grading
- 45% - chapter tests and quizzes (30% and 15%
respectively)
- 25% - homework
- 10% - term final
- 10% - classroom behavior and participation
- 10% - study skills
