Academics
The King's Robotics Program provides academic STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) courses for 5th through 12th grade.
High school and junior high courses use the Lego NXT kit with a STEM curriculum developed at Carnegie Mellon University. Students explore how robots navigate in their environments and how they are used in the real world. Students are also introduced to the engineering process as they work in teams to complete tasks and projects.
In the elementary, Lego WeDo is used to introduce students to simple robotics through building simple machines and models of animals.
Additionally, in the summer the King's FTC teams hosts a summer robotics camp through King's Schools Summer Camps for kids from 3rd grade through high school.
